Sheridan Music Studio is pleased to announce the upcoming Music with a View Concert featuring the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Horn, David Cooper, with pianist Kuang-Hao Huang on Sunday April 11. 2021 at 2pm CDT. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Hornist, David Cooper’s passion for the French horn is in his blood, with both his uncle and grandmother serving as horn players in the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. David attended the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadephia from 2002-2004 and was awarded a Tanglewood Fellowship in 2003. Since then David has been a member, Principal or Guest Horn of numerous professional symphony orchestras- The Victoria Symphony (CAN), the Symphonies of Fort Worth and Dallas, TX, the Berliner Philharmoniker, the London Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. He joined the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under Ricardo Muti as the Principal French Horn in 2019.

Commended for his “perceptive pianism” (Audiophile) and “playing that is sensitive and wonderfully warm” (American Record Guide), Chicagoan Kuang-Hao Huang is a highly sought-after collaborative pianist whose performances have taken him throughout North America, Europe and Asia.  He has performed in New York City’s Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Merkin Hall; in Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center; and at every major venue in the Chicago area, including the Harris Theatre and Symphony Center.  He is often heard live on WFMT and has also performed on WQXR and on Medici.tv.  Mr. Huang has recorded for Aucourant, Cedille, Innova and Naxos
