Announces 2020-21 New Artists
Ann Arbor, MI -Great Lakes PAA welcomes new artists Beo String Quartet, Sprig of That, Djangophonique, Brad Phillips, and Jake Reichbart. The artists will join the current diverse roster of classical, jazz, folk, world, chambergrass, and new music genres of emerging, developing and established artists.
Great Lakes Performing Artist Associates, a non-profit organization since 1978, secures performance opportunities for artists in the Great Lakes area and provides them with the tools they need to showcase their talents, secure their careers and enrich our communities. Through its Caravan Program it brings professional musicians to our schools for concerts, master classes, talks and workshops.
Great Lakes PAA represents over 20 artists, both solo performers and ensembles. It assists with career plans, promotional materials, booking services and management skills. All the artists on its roster are encouraged, with help from the organization, to develop programming and supporting educational materials for students and diverse audiences.
With Covid-19 restrictions in place, the agency has pivoted into educating artists on how to keep their work relevant by moving into coordinating livestream presentations, neighborhood concerts, and securing the tools necessary to stay connected.
