Brooklyn Irish Dance Company and Switchback bring the Emerald Isle to the East Village with Celtic America - A Night of Music and Dance

Brooklyn Irish Dance Company and award-winning recording artists Switchback present Celtic America, a one-night-only celebration of Irish heritage and the American dream.  Brooklyn Irish Dance Company returns to the historical off-broadway establishment Theatre 80 for a night of music and incredible dancing that tells the story of the journey to America in a beautiful, intimate setting on Saturday, May 4th. With traditional Irish music & dance, and original folk and Americana tunes, Celtic America will be a night to remember!

Switchback consists of the award-winning duo Brian FitzGerald and Martin McCormack. Switchback draws on traditional Celtic music and original Americana songs that reflect their Irish heritage and Midwestern roots. Brooklyn Irish Dance Company made their off-Broadway debut with two sold out performances of their premiere production A Celtic Christmas Story this past December at Theatre 80 in lower Manhattan. Based in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Irish Dance Company strives to create new works as a collaborative community of dancers to break traditional boundaries and engage audiences with innovative and accessible performances of Irish dance and music.
