The Azerbaijiani Multiculturalism Concert

THE NATIONAL MUSIC AND GLOBAL CULTURE SOCIETY COLLABORATES WITH THE STATE COMMITTEE ON AFFAIRS WITH DIASPORA OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN” TO PRESENT THE AZERBAIJANI MULTICULTURALISM CONCERT

 

The concert and reception will celebrate Azerbaijan’s multicultural heritage with music performances by professional instrumentalists and vocalist.

 

(For Immediate Release, November 2, 2018, New York, NY)The National Music and Global Culture Society (NMGCS) partners with The State Committee On Affairs With Diaspora Of The Republic Of Azerbaijan to present the Azerbaijani Multiculturalism Concert and Reception.

 

 The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 18, 2018, at 4:30 pm at Lincoln Center’s Bruno Walter Auditorium.

 

The concert will showcase Azerbaijan’s multicultural uniqueness with performances by internationally acclaimed pianist Dr. Nargiz Aliyarova, violinist Elvin Hoxha Ganiyev, Azerbaijani national instrument player Jeffrey Werbock, and soprano Zoya Garmagin. These performers include Azerbaijani musicians, as well as American musicians who will perform Azerbaijani compositions and play Azerbaijan national instruments.

 

 Azerbaijan is rooted in various civilizations over many centuries, which has created an atmosphere of national cultural diversity. Various faiths and nationalities live amongst one another and embrace peace and welfare, mutual understanding, and dialogue.

 

Founder and president of NMGCS, Nargiz Aliyarova aims to increase awareness and appreciation of global and multinational culture through this event, and the concerts hosted throughout the season. The organization launched this year with an inaugural concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. This season, NMGCS is also hosting concerts presenting the music of Russian, Norwegian, Brazilian, and African American composers.

 

The organization has made its mark in NYC through riveting performances at St. Marks Church as well as their inaugural performance which took place at Lincoln Center’s Bruno Walter Auditorium.
