"They call organist Christopher Houlihan the 'Fred Astaire of the pipe organ' ... He plays it with the technical prowess of a rock star." -Arizona Daily Star
On Friday, August 9, 2019, "Organ phenom" (Cincinnati Enquirer) Christopher Houlihan performs a recital at the historic St. Paul's Chapel of Trinity Wall Street as part of the "Pipes at One" concert series. The performance takes places at St. Paul's Chapel (209 Broadway in New York City) at 1:00 pm. Admission is free, complete details are below.

Christopher Houlihan's "Pipes at One" performance will be live-streamed andarchived for on-demand viewing.

St. Paul's Chapel is home to a celebrated Noack three-manual organ, inaugurated in the spring of 2018. This newly redesigned instrument married the Noack organ originally built for the Church of The Redeemer in Chestnut Hill, MA with the historical 1802 case from St Paul’s Chapel. “I’m really looking forward to performing at St. Paul’s Chapel on August 9. The church itself is iconic – it’s the oldest in New York. I performed on the Noack organ in its previous home in Massachusetts and am looking forward to getting to know it in its new incarnation,” says Houlihan.

Critics have applauded Christopher Houlihan for his "world class chops" and "marvelous ear"; The Los Angeles Times proclaimed him dazzling and seductive. Houlihan's Disney Hall debut, performing with principal brass of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, resulted in The LA Times raving, "Houlihan is the next big organ talent." Recent concert highlights include debuts at the Kennedy Center and Kimmel Center, and concertos with the Columbus (GA) Symphony and Chamber Orchestra of Boston. In 2017 Houlihan was appointed the John Rose College Organist-and-Directorship Distinguished Chair of Chapel Music at Trinity College in Hartford, his alma mater.
