The American Prize national nonprofit competitions in the performing arts sponsors annual contests for composers, classical vocalists, pianists, chamber groups, conductors, stage directors, conducted ensembles and arts administrators, and has awarded nearly $35000 in cash prizes since its founding in 2010. The American Prize is administered by Hat City Music Theater, Inc., a 501©3 nonprofit organization based in Danbury, CT.
