Working entirely through his own independent label, Omar MRX Records, Rashid has developed a distinctive production philosophy built around a simple rule: his voice is the instrument.

Across his voice-centric catalog, Rashid creates songs without conventional instrumental accompaniment, instead constructing his arrangements through spontaneous vocal ad-libs, direct-flow vocals, one-take vocal layering, harmonies, counter-melodies, and organic phone-recorded vocal textures.
