All Classical Radio’s International Children’s Arts Network Launches Dedicated Mobile App

ICAN’s free app expands access to award-winning arts and music programming for children and youth

PORTLAND, Ore. (Aug. 13, 2026) – The International Children’s Arts Network (ICAN) announced today the launch of a dedicated mobile app for its free, 24/7 HD radio and streaming service. ICAN, powered by leading classical public radio station All Classical Radio, features diverse youth-centered music, art, and literature programming curated for children ages 0-12.

The free ICAN Radio app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, expands access to ICAN’s enriching, screen-free content with a simple, user-friendly interface. Its features include live streaming, pause-and-rewind functionality, on-demand content, and real-time playlist information, providing direct access on the phones and other digital devices listeners use most.  ICAN will still be available through All Classical Radio’s HD-2 channels and streaming at icanradio.org.

The first of its kind in the nation, ICAN is one of the few noncommercial standalone youth-focused arts radio networks serving children and youth, along with their families, caregivers, and educators. ICAN offers a wide range of programming—from classical favorites and lullabies to dance parties and diverse world music. The network also celebrates the work and voices of youth contributors, ages 4-16, who are prominently featured in poetry, storytelling, performances, and interviews.

“The International Children’s Arts Network is a dedicated radio station for children to listen, learn, and celebrate the joy of being a child with the people around them. ICAN transports music and the arts directly into children’s daily lives, providing safe, engaging alternatives to screen-based entertainment,” says Brandi Parisi, Radio Network Program Director for All Classical Radio and the International Children’s Arts Network. “The dedicated mobile app means we can reach even more young people, making an important step forward to ensuring every child has access to the arts, no matter where they are.”

The success of All Classical Radio's flagship mobile app illustrates the growing importance of mobile accessibility, with app listenership for All Classical Radio increasing by nearly 50% since 2019. With the introduction of the ICAN Radio app, All Classical Radio aims to build on that momentum by expanding access to ICAN's programming for children and youth. Since its launch in 2019, ICAN has experienced steady growth in listenership, now reaching more than 55,000 listeners annually across Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and around the world. With this new dedicated listening option, the network is poised to broaden its impact even further, reaching more families, classrooms, and communities than ever before.
