The Soul of Liszt: Between the Heaven and Hell

The Show "Soul of Liszt: Between the Heaven and Hell" redefines the momentum of traditional concert. It takes audience to the realm of Lisztian's life struggles and personal transformation between the divine and the devilish. 

On stage, the actor (Broadway's Rodd Cyrus, who plays the role of Harry Goudini in RAGTIME) - portrays Liszt at the different stages of his life - from the prodigy haunted by the Faustinian myth to the devout Abbey to the Romantic Icon.

Blending pianistic virtuosity with theatrical monologue, the show explores the genesis of Liszt's three masterworks. Liszt's Mephisto-Waltz No. 1, Benediction de Dieu dans le solitude, and Sonata in B minor will be performed by the exquisite pianist and The Juilliard School's graduate, Anna Bogolubova. 

A unique multidisciplinary performance offering a fascinating immersion into the tormented mind of Franz Liszt. Drawing from his personal correspondence, the narrative unveils the tensions between the sacred and the profane, that defined Lisztian existence.
