Chamber Music San Francisco Announces 2026 Season

January 12, 2026 | By Marianne LaCrosse
Managing Director

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Chamber Music San Francisco (CMSF) proudly presents its 2026 season, taking place February 21-May 17, 2026. The season features ten concerts in San Francisco, five concerts in Palo Alto, and five concerts in Walnut Creek.

Highlights of the 2026 season include the return of pianist Angela Hewitt; the San Francisco debut of violinist Nathan Meltzer, major prize winner at the 2022 Sibelius and Singapore International Violin Competitions and the youngest ever to win the Windsor Festival Competition; pianist Olga Kern making her sixth appearance on the series, this time with special guests the Dalí Quartet; and the Escher String Quartet, who will collaborate with GRAMMY Award-winning flutist Brandon Patrick George in a unique program spanning from Mozart to Ginastera.

New Venue in San Francisco
CMSF is excited to be a Resident Company at the Presidio Theatre Performing Arts Center in 2026. Concerts will continue to take place at Herbst Theatre in addition to this new four-concert series at the Presidio, making CMSF's programs more accessible to audiences around San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Once a movie theatre for members of the US Army and their families, the historic Presidio Theatre reopened its doors to the public in September of 2019 after an extensive renovation and is now reborn as a home for dance, theatre, music, cinema and performing arts of all kinds.
