Renowned Guitarist Jason Vieaux Joins Curtis Artist Management Roster

The Grammy Award-winning artist and Curtis faculty member joins the roster for general management and worldwide representation.

Philadelphia, PA (December 9, 2025) — Curtis Artist Management is thrilled to announce that award-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux has joined Curtis Institute of Music’s roster for general management and worldwide representation. A Curtis faculty member and co founder of the school’s guitar department, Mr. Vieaux joins the agency’s roster of acclaimed faculty and alumni, strengthening Curtis’ continued dedication to representing extraordinary artists on the international stage.

Described as “perhaps the most precise and soulful classical guitarist of his generation” by NPR, Mr. Vieaux has appeared with leading orchestras including the Cleveland Orchestra, Toronto Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Houston Symphony, and Nashville Symphony. He has also been featured on prominent international stages such as Concertgebouw, Seoul Arts Center, Shanghai Concert Hall, Sala São Paulo, and Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

“Joining the Curtis Artist Management roster feels like a natural and inspiring next step,” Mr. Vieaux says. “Curtis embodies a remarkable commitment to artistic excellence and a genuine support for musicians, which extends to Curtis Artist Management. It’s also a nice complement to my faculty position at Curtis—a significant part of my career as an artist/teacher.”

A frequent recitalist and chamber musician, Mr. Vieaux also performs regularly on celebrated series including San Francisco Performances, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, and the 92nd Street Y, New York, as well as festivals such as Ravinia, Caramoor, Domaine-Forget, Music@Menlo, Round Top, and the Eastern Music Festival.

His discography is equally notable, with recordings that include the Grammy Award-winning album Play (Azica Records, 2014) and Shining Night (Avie Records, 2022), which he recorded with violinist and frequent collaborator Anne Akiko Meyers. He was also featured in Pat Metheny’s album Road to the Sun (Modern Records, 2021), which includes Metheny’s solo guitar composition “Four Paths of Light,” written for and dedicated to Vieaux. Also a composer, his album of all original compositions for solo guitar, Gratitude, is slated for release in early 2026 by Azica Records.

Vieaux joins the Curtis Artist Management roster while his longtime manager Martha Woods of Jonathan Wentworth Associates prepares for retirement after nearly 50 years.

Woods remarked about the transition, "It has been the honor of a lifetime to work with Jason Vieaux, and I am thrilled he will now be a part of the distinguished Curtis roster. My work with him has brought me into collaboration with the excellent Curtis team, and I am honored to work alongside them to support the future of his artistry."

“Martha Woods has been an incredible partner to me for more than 25 years,” Mr. Vieaux says. “I look forward to continuing to develop that work with the terrific Curtis Artist Management team.”

In coordination with Curtis, Woods will continue to book Vieaux’s recital and chamber music engagements through the end of April 2026.
