BREVARD, N.C. (September 15, 2025) — The Brevard Music Center (BMC) is pleased to announce its partnership with the Pattis Family Foundation to introduce the Emerging Artists Fund.

This fund is designed to provide support to recent alumni of BMC’s Core Season Classical programs as they begin their professional careers. With an annual budget of $25,000, this program will award approximately 10-20 project-based grants ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 each. Applications open on September 15, 2025 and close November 15, 2025. During this two-month period, interested alumni will be able to submit their applications through my.brevardmusic.org. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of BMC staff professionals based on the feasibility of the project, artistic/professional merit, and alignment with BMC's mission to promote excellence in music.

“The Pattis Family Foundation Emerging Artists Fund is a powerful investment in possibility,” said Jason Posnock, President & CEO of Brevard Music Center, “one that will spark innovation, fuel creativity, and provide our alumni with critical resources to advance their professional careers at exactly the moment they need it most.”

All applicants will be notified by December 15, 2025. Funds will be dispersed on or before January 31, 2026. Through this fund, Brevard Music Center seeks to invest in the professional and artistic development of their alumni long after they have left the campus.
