PARMA Recordings Officially Expands to Prague with New Office
Sept. 11, 2025 (Boston MA) — The GRAMMY®-winning production house PARMA Recordings has opened a new office in Prague, Czech Republic.
The expansion follows the recent launch of PARMA’s Studio Martínek, a state-of-the-art recording space in Prague that has already hosted many recording sessions with acclaimed ensembles and soloists, from soprano Bree Nichols to the Brno Contemporary Orchestra and beyond. With the addition of a dedicated Prague office, PARMA strengthens its commitment to fostering creativity and supporting artists in one of Europe’s most storied musical capitals.
“Prague has long stood as a center of musical innovation, from the premieres of Mozart’s operas to the enduring legacies of Dvorák, Smetana, Janácek, and so many others,” says PARMA CEO Bob Lord. “By establishing a permanent base here, we are deepening our ties to this celebrated tradition while providing our artists access to world-class musicians, venues, and resources, and expanding on the collaborations we’ve forged with world-renowned names such as author Dan Brown and the London Symphony Orchestra and leading Czech musicians like Radek Baborák.”
For PARMA, the expansion reflects an embrace of Prague’s historic role in classical music and its vibrant contemporary scene of music professionals and enthusiasts. The new office will serve as a hub for the company’s European operations, connecting local and international artists with recording opportunities, concert productions, and distribution channels that bring their music to audiences worldwide.
The Czech Republic has long been a primary recording destination for PARMA and its artists, with several members of the team being Czech natives — PARMA Vice President of Production Jan Košulic, Production Director Martina Watzková, and Studio Martínek Manager Magdaléna Samková, to name a few.
The Prague office adds a new home base for PARMA’s existing international team of industry professionals and underscores the company’s ongoing mission to break down barriers in classical music and empower artists across borders.
PARMA hosts many of its Featured Recording Opportunities in the City of a Hundred Spires, including collaborations with the likes of Czech horn soloist Radek Baborák, Kühn Choir of Prague, and, most recently, the Milano Saxophone Quartet.
