Pianist Sara Buechner kicks off her 25-26 season
Sara Davis Buechner kicks off her 2025-26 concert calendar with a performance of two beloved Spanish masterpieces — Falla’s colorful Nights in the Gardens of Spain and Turina’s virtuosic Rapsodia Sinfonica — with the Greenwich Symphony under the baton of Stuart Malina. Soon after, Sara plays concertos of Beethoven, Chopin, Grieg and Ravel, from coast to coast.
It was at the personal invitation of Martha Argerich that Sara was a featured guest at the Argerich Festival in Hamburg, Germany this summer. And with Martha herself, essayed the demanding Symphonic Dances of Rachmaninoff to a roaring, packed house. Sara’s other summertime project was a traversal of all five Piano Concertos of Camille Saint-Saëns with the Tokyo Sinfonia in Oji Hall. She returns to Japan on December 27th for a rare presentation of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, in Franz Liszt’s arrangement for two pianos, in Hiroshima to bring in the New Year.
Vitality, creativity, energy and joy are the hallmarks of this celebrated American concert pianist. She’ll bring all those qualities and more to your stage.
