Cincinnati Pops to Perform with Rising Country Duo, The War and Treaty
CINCINNATI, OH (May 28, 2025)— The Cincinnati Pops (Pops) will perform with two-time Grammy nominated duo, The War and Treaty this fall. The husband-and-wife artists, Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, are taking over the music scene with their blend of country, rock and gospel influences. The duo will bring their unique sonic blend to the Cincinnati Pops led by conductor Damon Gupton on Saturday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Since 2014, The War and Treaty continues to gain respect across the musical landscape, touring with music icons and opening for artists like Chris Stapleton and the Rolling Stones, as well as collaborating on hit singles like “Hey Driver” with Zach Bryan. The War and Treaty received their first Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best American Roots Song for “Blank Page” last year. The couple has also been nominated for Duo of the Year by the Country Music Association two years in a row and Vocal Duo of the Year by the Academy of Country Music. Continuing their recent success, the two won Duo/Group of the Year from the Americana Music Association for the second straight year in 2023.
The War and Treaty’s diverse mix of inspiration is evident, earning recognition from national institutions, including the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. To expand their reach and influence, the pair performed with an orchestra for the first time in January, playing with the Nashville Symphony. In September, they will add the Cincinnati Pops to their calendar.
The War and Treaty with the Cincinnati Pops will take place Saturday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Music Hall. Individual tickets for The War and Treaty with the Cincinnati Pops can be purchased online beginning June 10. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the CSO Box Office at 513.381.3300 or in-person at 1241 Elm St. Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.
