Leading Artist Managers Announce Mentorship Program

April 16, 2025 | By Fletcher Artist Management

Today, artist managers from Fletcher Artist Management (Alex Fletcher, Sarah Fraser), IMG Artists (Sam Snook), and Opus 3 Artists (Nathan Wentworth) announce the launch of a new manager mentorship program. Responding to a thinning field of artist managers, the group seeks to guide individuals interested in establishing independent artist management firms.

The pro-bono program will consist of a series of online roundtable conversations led by members of the mentorship team, focusing on topics such as: specifics on what a manager/agent position entails; starting/forming a business; developing a network/industry relationships; building a successful roster, and differences in Europe/North American markets. Eventually, there may also be internship opportunities.

Alex Fletcher, President of Fletcher Artist Management, shares: “artist management is a tremendously rewarding industry. Now more than ever, quality artist managers are a valuable part of the classical music ecosystem. As a group, we seek to address one of the main barriers for entry in artist management: industry knowledge and practical know-how, and empower interested individuals to join us in this dynamic field.”

Ideal candidates will be individuals who demonstrate serious and motivated interest in opening an artist management firm. This initiative is intentionally targeted toward applicants focused on developing their own rosters, as opposed to a general interest in the field of artist management. These individuals will have some experience in the classical music business, and be positioned to build on a level of existing relationships/industry visibility.

To apply, please send a letter and support materials (resume, biography, etc.) to manager.mentorship@gmail.com. Please be sure to describe in detail what makes you an ideal candidate for this program, and what you hope to gain through your participation.

Applications will be received on a rolling basis, subject to interest and number of applicants.
