PARMA Recordings Establishes New Operations at Prague’s Studio Martínek

[March 27th, 2025] – PARMA Recordings’ GRAMMY®-winning team has established new recording operations at Prague’s historic Studio Martínek, furthering its commitment to world-class music production.

Optimized for a wide range of recording projects, PARMA-related, independent, or otherwise, Studio Martínek is poised for an exciting new chapter. With PARMA’s expertise and commitment to artistic excellence, Studio Martínek will bring new opportunities for musicians, ensuring that the cultural landmark remains a premier destination for classical music recordings for years to come.

Studio Martínek has been a destination for classical composers and performers for over seven decades, offering a top-tier engineering environment, lush acoustics, and an art nouveau setting steeped in history. With a legacy that includes recordings by icons like Vladimir Ashkenazy and Sir Charles Mackerras, Studio Martínek continues to shape the sound of classical music today.

“Studio Martínek holds a special genius loci, having inspired recording artists for the past 70 years,” says Jan Košulic, PARMA’s Vice President of Production. “We are honored to continue this legacy, bringing world-class performers and exceptional music together within its walls.”

PARMA plans to conduct many of its recording sessions and initiatives at Studio Martínek, from new and continuous collaborations with contemporary composers and ensembles to their ongoing series of Featured Recording Opportunities

The PARMA production team has already held several sessions at Studio Martínek with many of today’s leading composers and performers. Projects recorded at Studio Martínek will be released by one of PARMA’s independent labels — NavonaRavelloBig RoundAnsonica, and the newly-acquired Albany Records.

With these sessions in the books, many more on the horizon, and a new website from PARMA Creative up and running, the team is set to produce sounds of great significance within Studio Martínek’s historic walls.
