Legato Arts presents Nikita Galaktionov, piano in Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM
Legato Arts is pleased to present the return of pianist Nikita Galaktionov to the stage of Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Galaktionov brings an evening of "Parisian Friends" to this concert, with works by Franz Liszt and Frédéric Chopin.

About Nikita Galaktionov
Pianist Nikita Galaktionov graduated from the Central Music School of Tchaikovsky's Moscow State Conservatory, where he studied under Professor Arkady Sevidov, a leaureate of the 4th International Tchaikovsky Competition. Making his debut at eight years of age at a concert hall in Moscow's International House of Music, he was accompanied by the Russian National Philharmoic Orchestra. Nikita performed Mozart's Concerto No. 8.
Nikita Galaktionov is he first Russian musician to make a music video based on Liszt's composition Liebesträume or "Dreams of Love." Nikita performed in the video as pianist and actor. Nikita's teacher Arkady Sevidov also took part in the creation ofo the video. This clip has prompted heated debates, and has been viewed over half a million times on the popular forum devoted to classical music, forumklassika.ru. Nikita performed Rubinstein's Fourth Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in February 2015. Compositions of Rubinstein have become an essential part of Nikita's solo repertoire, which he has performed in Rome, Prague, Vienna, Vilnius, Tallin, Milan and several Russian cities. Those compositions were included in Nikita's first recording called "The Best" along with piano works by Balakirev, Scriabin, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky.
The "Parisian Friends" concert on October 6th marks Nikita's seventh performance at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall.
