The USA International Harp Competition is pleased to announce its dates for their upcoming triennial 13th Competition as May 14-24, 2025.

The USA International Harp Competition was founded in 1989 by world-renowned harpist and Distinguished Professor Emerita at Indiana University, Susann McDonald. The USAIHC has become one of the most prestigious harp competitions in the world.

"We are pleased to work with Indiana University to continue our 35-year tradition" states Joyce Claflin, Board President. "The USA International Harp Competition is proud to have IU as an Exclusive Sponsor, as well as Lyon & Healy and Salvi Harps."

Hundreds of music lovers, contestants, families and friends from all over the world will arrive in Bloomington for ten days of lively competition and concerts. Most events are free to the public and ticketed events sell out quickly. A full schedule of events and locations will be listed soon at www.usaihc.org as well as social media platforms.

The 13th Competition is open to harpists of all nationalities between the ages of 18 and 32. For those applying to the competition, the updated application closing date is November 15, 2024 and the notice of acceptance will be January 2, 2025. The application video requirement has been uploaded to the two required Sonatas by D. Scarlatti and Impromptu op.86 by G. Faure. The online application form can be found at www.usaihc.org.

All repertoire must be performed from memory except for the USAIHC Ruth Inglefield Composition Contest winning work in Stage III.
