Hunter Opera Theater, National Opera Association & The American Opera Project present the NOA Eastern Regional Conference and Earth Day Celebration

April 22, 2023, Hunter College, The American Opera Project, and the National Opera Association will present a day focusing on the future of opera with masterclasses supporting the next generation of voices and a concert reading premiering a new and exciting work, PRECIPICE.

New York, NY - Hunter Opera Theater w/National Opera Association & The American Opera Project will present masterclasses with Brandon McShaffrey and Miriam Charney followed by a concert reading of PRECIPICE, a new chamber opera by Susan Zeeman Rogers (Concept & Design), Rima Fand (Music) and Karen Fisher (Libretto).The NOA Eastern Regional Conference and Earth Day Celebration will be held Saturday, April 22nd, at Lang Recital Hall, CUNY Hunter College, 695 Park Ave, 69th Street entrance between Park & Lexington. The masterclasses begin at 9:30 am with the concert reading of PRECIPICE beginning at 2:00 pm.

Concert Reading of PRECIPICE - Performers from Hunter College and The American Opera Project join forces to present the first concert reading of PRECIPICE, a new chamber opera by Susan Zeeman Rogers (Concept & Design), Rima Fand (Music) and Karen Fisher (Libretto), followed by a Q&A and discussion with the creators.
