Legato Arts presents Ensemble MidtVest in Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall

Legato Arts will present Ensemble MidtVest Ensemble at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall on Monday evening, March 20, 2023 at 8:00 PM.  They will perform the United States premiere of Bent Sørensen's "Fuggitivo" along with chamber works of Mazart and Brahms.

Tickets are on sale now for the March 20th concert and are available through CarnegieCharge (212-247-7800) online at www.carnegiehall.org and at the Carnegie Hall box office located at 57th Street and 7th Avenue in New York City.

About the Artists

The Danish Ensemble MidtVest plays chamber music and creates musical experiences reaching beyond the stage.  They were established in 2002, and consist of nine classical musicians, who together constitute a string trio, a wind quintet and a pianist.  The ensemble is based at the Herning Museum of Contemporary Art, and are supported by the state and three local municipalities.  They perform over 100 concerts per year in Denmark and abroad, working regularly with high-profile musicians.  Besides traditional chamber music, the ensemble works regularly with classical improvisation in order to create their own musical language.  Ensemble MidtVest has 23 recordings and their recordings of piano quartets of Mozart and Brahms wond the Danish Broadcasting Corporation's P2 prize for the best Danish CD of the year.
