8th International Violin Competition Henri Marteau in Lichtenberg and Hof, Germany - Application deadline is February 7, 2023
From April 23 until May 6, 2023 the 8th International Violin Competition Henri Marteau takes place in Lichtenberg and Hof, Germany. The Hofer Symphoniker (Hof symphony orchestra) has again assumed the artistic and organizational management of the competition. The international jury, with Gilbert Varga as chairman, consists of renowned professors and soloists. Our media partner is again the Bayerische Rundfunk, which will produce a broadcast production and a CD recording with the first prize winner. Other prizes include cash awards, the loan of a valuable violin and scholarships for master classes. Numerous applications from all over the world have already arrived at the competition office. Violinists who are not older than 25 years at the time of the competition can apply online until February 7, 2023.
