The newly expanded educational platform offers a range of online content focused on finance, media, publicity, self-promotion, and more

The guidance and resources of the YCA Career Catalyst Platform will also be accessible by young musicians outside the YCA Roster.

For release Monday, January 9, 2023:

Young Concert Artists announced today the expansion of YCA Career Catalyst, an online educational platform providing resources for young artists to holistically build their careers. The YCA Career Catalyst will offer a host of online content for learning and growth through a broad range of career guidance and insight from industry experts, YCA staff, and creative musicians – available to young musicians both on, and outside of, YCA’s roster.

Topics covered range from finance, media and publicity, and education outreach to brand building and self-promotion. As part of this new educational platform, participants will have the opportunity to learn from guest contributors including President of Unison Media Andrew Ousley, Founder of Verisimo Communications Beth Stewart, and violist, creator, and storyteller Drew Forde, known as ThatViolaKid, among others.

The expanded YCA Career Catalyst will also offer a specialized 5-week course “Money & Musicians”, led by Founder of Virtuoso Asset Management LLC Tiffany Soricelli, available for a nominal fee, supplemented by YCA.

Of the new platform, YCA President Dan Kellogg said: “YCA is committed to helping a new generation of musicians realize their goals for a self-empowered and self-directed career in music. Through YCA Career Catalyst we extend some of our resources to artists beyond our roster, to help them become more than simply gifted, highly-trained musicians, but also storytellers, entrepreneurs, innovators, business-people, and artist citizens empowered to boldly communicate the power of music.”

YCA Career Catalyst expansion will soon offer more online courses, career development workshops in NYC, and partnerships with music schools and festivals.
