Omer Meir Wellber in Palermo, Vienna and on tour through Europe

Music Director Omer Meir Wellber opens the 2022/23 season at Teatro Massimo in Palermo on 8 and 9 November with the Kaiserrequiem, a joint creation with director Marco Gandini that combines Der Kaiser von Atlantis, composed by Viktor Ullman in the Theresienstadt concentration camp, with Mozart's Requiem, the composer's last unfinished masterpiece. The concert will be streamed live at 20:30 CET on Teatro Massimo TV.

With the Wiener Symphoniker, Omer Meir Wellber will embark on a European tour in November - in Warsaw, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Barcelona and Amsterdam, among others, he will present works by Mahler, Beethoven, Mozart and Eötvös with the orchestra. Soloists on the tour are Jan Lisiecki, Yulianna Avdeeva and Seong-Jin Cho.
