MidAmerica Productions Hires New Talent for its 40th Concert Season

MIDAMERICA PRODUCTIONS HIRES NEW TALENT FOR ITS 40TH CONCERT SEASON

FIVE NEW TEAM MEMBERS JOIN THE GROWING STAFF IN ROLES RANGING FROM MARKETING TO CONDUCTING TO ADMINISTRATION

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: New York, NY (November 9, 2022) — MidAmerica Productions, Inc./MidAm International Inc, under the leadership of Founder and Director Peter TIboris, is pleased to announce the appointment of several new hires in anticipation of its 40th concert season taking place in 2024; Andrea Niederman, Director of Public Relations, Publications, and Audience Development, Kristen Butler, Director of Social and Digital Media, Matthew Harden, Conductor/Program Development, Adam Stich, Conductor and Program Development Associate, and Julie Kahn, Principal Administrative Associate to General Music Director and Artistic Director, Peter Tiboris.

Chief Operating Officer James Redcay adds: “The addition of these five team members to our steadily growing staff further solidifies our four-decades-long mission to offer unforgettable musical experiences to all. It’s truly an exciting time at MidAmerica.”

As an Audience Development and Marketing Consultant, Niederman’s collaborations include The Turtle Creek Chorale, The Young People's Choir of New York City, The Nouveau Classical Project, and The A Cappella Education Association among others. For over nine years she served as the Director of Marketing, Promotions, and Box Office for Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY), handling the publicity, ticketing, and marketing efforts for over 200 concerts at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Town Hall, and Disney Hall in Los Angeles. As Director of Public Relations, Publications, and Audience Development, Niederman will oversee the box office, marketing, publications, and promotions, working to ensure a seamless, professional level experience for audience members and performers alike. 

Butler is a media producer and communications professional with a deep background in entertainment production and marketing. With her career spanning more than a decade, Butler has participated in the founding of two media production companies - including Mirari Pictures and most recently, Sailfish Features. As Director of Social and Digital Media for MidAmerica Productions, she will handle all aspects of graphic design, branding, social media, and collateral development. “I’m honored to be working with Peter and the MidAmerica team.” says Butler.

Dr. Harden, who will be joining the staff in the role of Conductor/Program Development, comes from a collegiate background and has taught at The University of Nebraska at Omaha, The University of South Dakota, and East Carolina University. Having earned his doctoral degree in Choral Music Education from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, his master’s degree from Portland State University, and two bachelor’s degrees from Southern Oregon State College, he brings a deep understanding and knowledge of the choral world to this role. 

Dr. Stich earned a BA in Music and Theatre from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and an MM and DMA from the University of South Carolina and will be joining MidAmerica in the role of Conductor and Program Development Associate. Armed with a broad range of experience including engaging original rehearsal techniques, teaching collaborations, and innovative performances, he has a unique understanding of what makes live events successful.

Bringing a wealth of experience from a variety of administrative and operational roles in the theater, film, television, music, event and touring industries, Kahn has been appointed as the Principal Administrative Associate to General Music Director and Artistic Director, Peter Tiboris. She will be responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks and special projects related to concert season planning, international tour scheduling, and other duties related to the role. “I am thrilled to once again be working in live entertainment,” says Kahn, “I look forward to learning from him as well as supporting him.”

ABOUT MIDAMERICA PRODUCTIONS AND MIDAM INTERNATIONAL 

Peter Tiboris created and conducted his first concert in New York on January 7, 1984, at  Lincoln Center, featuring The American Symphony Orchestra, soloists, and three choruses, the  Louisiana Chorale of Acadiana, Camerata Singers of Baton Rouge, and Collegiate Chorale of  New York. 

For 39 years, MidAmerica Productions has brought together conductors, soloists, and choral  and orchestral ensembles from the U.S. and abroad to appear at New York’s top venues,  including Stern Auditorium, Weill Recital Hall, and Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall; and Alice Tully  Hall and Avery Fisher Hall (now David Geffen Hall) at Lincoln Center. In addition to presenting  orchestral and choral works, MidAmerica Productions has championed contemporary  composers with 98 World Premieres, 38 United States Premieres, and 121 New York  Premieres. 

In 2004, MidAm International, Inc. was formed to support MidAmerica’s growing presence in  Europe. Since then, concerts have taken place in countries throughout the world, including  Greece, England, Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Portugal, Russia,  Ukraine, Slovakia, and Mexico.
