Legato Arts will present Gabriela Queiroz, violin and Aleyson Scopel, piano at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall on Saturday afternoon, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM.  The Brazilian artists’ program features works by their native country’s Villa-Lobos and Almeida Prado, along with masterpieces of the violin and piano repertoire by Beethoven and Greig.

Tickets are on sale now for the November 12th  concert and are available through CarnegieCharge (212-247-7800), online at www.carnegiehall.org and at the Carnegie Hall box office located at 57th St. and 7th Ave. in New York City. 

About the Artists

Award-winning Brazilian pianist Aleyson Scopel returns to Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, with violinist Gabriela Queiroz.  Ms. Queiroz frequently performs as a soloist throughout Brazil and abroad, having soloed with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, Espirito Santo Philharmonic Orchestra, Sergipe Symphony Orchestra, Bahia Symphony Orchestra, Paraná Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Paraguay, and others.  Mr. Scopel has performed worldwide in solo, chamber and concerto settings.  His performance of the first set of Almeida Prado’s Cartas Celestes was praised by the composer who then dedicated the fifteenth set of the series to Mr. Scopel.
