Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta 30th Anniversary

August 24, 2022 | By William Ransom
Artistic Director

The Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta celebrates its milestone 30th anniversary season in 2022-23 with over 60 concerts, masterclasses, lectures, and events, all free and open to the public. In addition to its programs across the Emory University campus and at First Presbyterian Church, the ECMSA will partner with the High Museum, the Breman Museum, Fernbank, the Museum for Contemporary Arts, the Georgia Aquarium, and the Atlanta History Center for special concerts all around the city.

The Southeast’s largest and most active chamber music organization brings together some of the city’s finest resident musicians with internationally-known performers who are dedicated to performing the most delightful, exciting, and interesting music from the chamber repertoire in some of the most acoustically and visually beautiful spaces in Atlanta. Guests have included Yo-Yo Ma, Richard Stoltzman, the Juilliard Quartet, Alan Gilbert, Dave Brubeck, William Preucil, Eliot Fisk, Mark O’Connor, and many others. The ECMSA also hosts the Quartet in Residence Program, held by the international award-winning Vega String Quartet, the first professional Quartet to ever be based in Atlanta.  The ECMSA is creating a whole new generation of passionate and educated music lovers who will cherish and support this great art forever.
