INTERNATIONAL ORCHESTRA FORCED TO CANCEL CONCERT VENUE DUE TO DISNEY HALL BOOSTER MANDATE

(Los Angeles, CA)— International non-profit organization, iPalpiti Artists International, today announced that it is switching its venue for its 25th Anniversary Festival Grand Finale ”ON WINGS OF PEACE” at Walt Disney Concert Hall scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 23, 8PM. The new venue is the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.   Due to an uncompromising COVID booster mandate forced upon the performing artists, the organization has made the difficult decision to part ways with Disney. iPalpiti members are fully vaccinated and the organization offered to also administer a test prior the concert; unfortunately, Disney declined and instead, suggested to set up a pop-clinic to provide booster shots for those who need it, while concert goers need not provide any proof of vaccination status. Saban Theatre address: 8440 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills.  QUESTIONS: 310.205.0511

iPalpiti is a mainstay in Los Angeles, hosting its annual music festival since 1998 to critical acclaim, bringing together dozens of international laureates from around the globe. The organization is known for its diversity, promoting peace and understanding through music.

“iPalpiti is an apolitical, non-partisan organization that does not discriminate based on race, religion or vaccination status,” said Mikhail Gershfeld, chairman of iPalpiti.   “It is with a heavy heart and under extreme duress that we have no choice but to change venue at the very last minute, so as not to exclude anyone,” he continued.

ALL TICKET HOLDERS WILL BE NOTIFIED of the venue change and ALL DISNEY TICKETS HONORED. Violinist Lina Jukneviciute from Lithuania, says, “I came all the way to USA, to this land of the free for the first time, following all medical protocols, so excited to perform among talented unique artists from 18 countries, and am heartbroken for the policies set for the musicians on concert stage at Disney Hall. But, we look forward performing in Saban Theatre that welcomes performers.”

This prestigious classical music festival returned LIVE to Southern California featuring stellar young professional string musicians from around the world, led by the renowned Maestro Eduard Schmieder. iPalpiti (“heartbeat in Italian”) has received accolades from the Los Angeles Times and international media (https://ipalpiti.org/news/press/). As you might imagine, it’s not easy to assemble such a group of musicians, given the restrictions imposed by COVID-19 – but they have done it!  Hear what iPalpitians say about iPalpiti! (90 sec video)

Festival director Laura Schmieder and music director/conductor Maestro Eduard Schmieder co- founded the festival, with the blessing and support of the late Lord Yehudi Menuhin.
