Legato Arts presents Kodak Quartet in Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, April 7, 2022 at 7:00 PM
Legato Arts will present Kodak Quartet at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall on Thursday evening,
April 7th at 7:00 PM. The Quartet performs a concert of Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Trey Spruance’s Séraphîta.
Tickets are on sale now for the April 7th concert and are available through CarnegieCharge (212-247-7800), online at www.carnegiehall.org and at the Carnegie Hall box office located at 57th St. and 7th Ave. in New York City.
About Kodak Quartet
The dynamic and emerging string quartet Kodak Quartet are setting the world on fire with their passionate and energetic playing. They are highly regarded for their work with contemporary composers on new compositions and for presenting traditional works with an electrifying contemporary flavor. Kodak's members, Edgar Donati and Martin Noh, violins, Daniel Spink, viola and Blake Kitayama, cello, hail from the US, Canada and France. The quartet formed in Rochester, New York while attending the Eastman School of Music and playing often in Kodak Hall.
Kodak Quartet has performed alongside Rob Kapilow in his program “What Makes it Great?” and opened a concert for the Kronos Quartet with a piece from their “50 For the Future” project. They have participated in outreach fundraisers, performed outdoor concerts for the local public, and are scheduled to play for Orli Shaham’s Bach Yard series at Merkin Hall and the Ridgewood Holocaust Commemoration. In 2020 they were offered a contemporary album contract with Shiva Records. They have worked with members of the Ying, Pacifica, Lark and Beethoven Quartets. Kodak Quartet are currently the graduate string quartet in residence at Montclair state University, working with the Harlem Quartet.
