BOISE PHIL ANNOUNCES FREE TEN-WEEK MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM: SONIC BOOM!
Boise, ID – March 01, 2022 — Boise Phil announces a pilot music education program Sonic Boom!, a free ten-week curriculum for elementary school music educators. Sonic Boom! teaches the foundations for listening to and appreciating music and is a core part of the organization’s efforts to provide access to high-quality learning to all students across Idaho.

Sonic Boom! is a modular three-part series comprised of Close Encounters, [see – hear], and Orchestral Exploration, so teachers can tailor the experience to meet their student’s needs.
? Close Encounters, brings chamber music into your classroom through an intimate performance of Sound and Silence with a variety of instrumental ensembles: brass quintet, woodwind quintet, and string quartet.
? [see – hear], is an eight-week classroom curriculum designed to achieve two skills: music literacy and audiation. This curated program enriches students’ fundamental knowledge and teaches skills to grow unique tastes, communicate ideas, and embrace a variety of musical thoughts..
? Orchestral Exploration, Orchestral Exploration brings students to the orchestra with a reimagined performance of Sound and Silence.
