Building Resilience through Hope - A Piano Recital for the United Nations & New York
“Building Resilience through Hope” honors the work of the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Abdulla Shahid, the entire United Nations Community and the City of New York.
This FREE concert at Carnegie Hall, New York, celebrates music and a return to the importance of live performance across the globe following COVID-19.
The Global Foundation for the Performing Arts (GFPA) are proud to partner with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and sponsoring Member States, Costa Rica, the Republic of Maldives, the Principality of Monaco, the Sultanate of Oman, the Republic of Rwanda, and the Republic of Singapore to present a piano recital at Carnegie Hall featuring pianist, Byron Wei-Xin Zhou.
UNITAR and GFPA are dedicated to enhancing the mutually beneficial relationship between the arts and sustainable development capacity building at the United Nations.The United Nations continues to mobilize efforts targeting the peace and prosperity of the planet and its inhabitants. In these efforts, the arts are a transcultural tool in which to further such goals.
A certain number of free tickets are available and MUST be collected from Carnegie Hall Box Office in person.
About the Artist – Byron Wei-Xin Zhou
Praised by legendary American pianist Russell Sherman, who wrote “With unflappable poise Byron performed both the most difficult passages and the poetic interludes in a completely convincing way that embraced the core of the music and the composer”, pianist Byron Wei-Xin Zhou (top) is a conspicuously gifted young musical talent with the virtuosic approach of the highest caliber and suggesting the possibility and promise of an international career on a notable level.
