Written during the plague in Florence of 1347 - 1351, the song is about the fear of never being able to return to life as we once knew it: fever, burning desire and hope.

*Translation of the refrain from Deh lassa la mia vita!

 *Alas, my life’s forlorn!

Oh, shall it ever be that I’ll regain

The place from which I had to part in grief?

Featuring Caitríona O’Leary, Edited by Martin Mai, Art Direction by Gareth Jones.

(International artistic team listed at the end of the film}

Funded by an Arts Council Covid-19 Crisis Response Award
