Isotopia Records To Release Constance Hauman's The Quarantine Trilogy The Third Wave

On Friday 30th October 2020 Isotopia Records (www.isotopiarecords.com) will release a new digital EP titled The Quarantine Triology The Third Wave. The recording includes three instrumental tracks all of which were written in New York during the Covid-19 pandemic. Referencing Zoom Fatigue, COVID on the rise, and an historic election hanging in the balance, Hauman sets the stage for The Quarantine Trilogy The Third Wave. The EP features three soothing sonic improvisations inspired by recent social, cultural and political events.
The recording features Hauman (keyboards) together with her frequent collaborator, the celebrated jazz virtuoso, Ross Pederson (percussion, synthesizers).
One of the most protean performing artists on today’s contemporary music scene, Constance Hauman’s rich imagination continually leads her to new realms of self-expression and artistic creation. In The Quarantine Trilogy Third Wave she articulates her personal experience of the most disruptive, isolating, yet communally shared event of our time.

Pianist, singer, songwriter and producer, Constance Hauman is renowned in the worlds of indie rock, jazz and classical music. She has release two critically acclaimed albums of her own songs, High Tides (2019) and Falling Into Now. The Guardian cited Falling Into Now one of the Best Albums of 2015.
She is the music director, keyboardist and producer for the soul, rock, funk band Miss Velvet and the Blue Wolf which has toured worldwide as the opening act for George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic.
In November 2019 she made her Vienna State Opera debut in composer, Olga Neuwirth’s adaptation of Orlandowhich featured costumes by Rei Kawakubo.
Constance Hauman was a protégé of Leonard Bernstein and is one of the most adventurous and celebrated sopranos of her generation. She has sung over 2,000 performances of opera and hundreds of concerts with a wide array of international companies including, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Welsh National Opera, English National Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Opera National de Paris, Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, London Symphony and London Philharmonia etc.
