The Saturday June Band performs in an Outdoor Concert at Sheridan Music Studio in Highland Park
Making Music in the Pandemic: The Saturday June Band performs in an Outdoor Concert in Highland Park
Sheridan Music Studio of Highland Park and Chicago launched their new outdoor music festival in August with five concerts featuring artists and ensembles from their Music with a View and Blue Skies Concert Series. Now, they are please to announce a Pop-Up add-on concert for their Outdoor SummerMusic Festival featuring Highland Park’s “The Saturday June Band” on Saturday September 12th at 5pm at 1532 Sheridan Road, Highland Park, IL 60035.
“I heard the band several weeks ago at an outdoor concert in Highwood at The Humble Pub. Steve Kessler, the leader of the band, had invited my daughter, Sarah Greene, to jam with them on Electric violin or viola, so I decided to go listen and see what they were about. I was quite impressed with their original songs and cover songs, and their band had a really great vibe, so I asked them if they wanted to perform in my backyard outdoor music festival. This was the first date we could find that wouldn’t conflict with our other concerts, and wouldn’t be too cold or dark to hold such an event”. — Susan Merdinger, Founder and Artistic Director, Sheridan Music Studio
