PHILADELPHIA—May 20, 2020—The Curtis Institute of Music announces a new week of video content, adding to its extensive YouTube video library. “Curtis Is Here” features a video of a favorite or rarely seen Curtis performance, posted each weekday at noon EDT. This week’s theme, “Homage,” explores works for solo instruments and small ensembles that draw inspiration from other composers. In addition, a special broadcast event takes place on Friday, May 22 at 8 p.m. EDT. This week’s broadcast celebrates Curtis’s students, particularly those graduating this May, with some of the most memorable moments from the 2019–20 performance calendar. Included will be selections from the Curtis Symphony Orchestra and Curtis Opera Theatre, along with solo and chamber works.
