Haydn's Seven Last Words of Christ and documentary "Con Moto"

Baruch Performing Arts Center has created two unique programs of music, film, and discourse featuring the Alexander String Quartet. These programs are only available for a limited time.

BPAC presents streaming audio and video of Alexander String Quartet’s special performance of Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Christ, recorded this past week expressly for BPAC. Aldemaro Romero Jr., Dean of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences at Baruch College, welcomes the viewers and introduces the music and the performers. The program is archived and available through BPAC’s website only through May 6, 2020.

Con Moto: The Alexander String Quartet - TRAILER from jellyFEST Film Festival on Vimeo.

Also presented by the BaruchPAC is an online screening of the documentary "Con Moto" followed by a discussion with the members of ASQ and Dennis Slavin, Associate Provost and professor of music at Baruch College. “Con Moto”, available at this link (only through May 7), gives a behind-the-scenes view of the Alexander String Quartet as they perform throughout Poland.
