Classical Livestream Pioneer and Concerto Commissioner Reaches Concert #9

Since March 14th, pianist Jeffrey Biegel has performed eight concerts 'at home' to bring comfort to people during the Covid19 pandemic. Concert #9 is scheduled for Saturday, May 9th at 5PM ET. Having created commissioning projects featuring new concertos for piano and orchestra, and new compositions for piano, orchestra and chorus since 1999, Mr. Biegel will premiere two new concertos by Daniel Perttu and James Stephenson in mid-2021, and a new work for piano, orchestra and chorus in the following season to be shared soon. Looking further into the 2023-24-25 seasons is a 50-state project which will reconvene as orchestras slowly return to their future planning. The intended composer has already been in discussion with Mr. Biegel and private funding is currently underway prior to orchestral commitments.
