We’d also like to invite you to like and subscribe to our Youtube, Facebook and Instagram pages for all updates with the company!

Spooky Goose Opera is a remote opera company that was conceptualized and founded by Aaren Marchi and Michael Celentano in November 2019. We have musicians from all over the world representing our company! We strive to represent the underrepresented, while creating new and exciting endeavors using the resources available to us. We are an exclusively inclusive innovative opera company.

The idea for a fully remote quarantine concert came about from Founder Aaren Marchi, who had Covid-19 and is now in recovery at home. They put the idea out to the group and the response was phenomenal! The concert idea has turned into a concert series. We have had 2 live concert series thus far, the inaugural series spanning 3 days March 27th-29th, and the second on April 17th and 18th. We have performers ranging from seasoned professionals who have performed at Teatro Alla Scala, The Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and other houses - to a broad range of performers in their collegiate years, including current Juilliard Students, students and faculty of Indiana University, and more!

The concert is free to the public, is kid friendly, and is completely remote for all participatnts and audience members! The performers will be utilizing the Zoom platform, which will be livestreamed to our Youtube account.

Spooky Goose Opera is led by General Director Bruce Fowler and Artistic Directors Aaren Marchi and Michael Celentano, and Co-Artistic Director and Composer-In-Residence Dr. Tyler Hughes.

Spooky Goose Opera would also like to announce that they will be presenting a remote original work opera, The Yellow Wallpaper composed by NACUSA award winning composer Dr. Tyler Hughes, libretto by Aaren Marchi, playwright of the Off-Off Broadway festival play “Gravy”, and Joshua Jorgensen, writer of “Gov.Love” which was presented at Collin College.
The opera will be presented in episodes on Youtube and, concluding the episodes, the opera in its entirety will be presented via Zoom.

Updates regarding the opera will be posted to our website www.spookygooseopera.org

We would like to thank Opera-Karaoke for providing full use of their tracks for our concert series, Accompanist the app for allowing our performers to utilize their library, and our two accompanists Catherine Lupien and Nicole DiPaolo for the continued work and support of our company!

We’d also like to give a loud shout out to the Social Distancing Festival for promoting our first live stream series, as well as providing a place for all performers to come together during this unusual time. What a lovely thing to come out of such a horrible tragedy.

We hope to see you at our concerts in the chat!
