New Curtis Institute of Music Video Content for April 20–24

Noon videos based on “Beethoven at 250” and broadcast available at Curtis.edu/YouTube

PHILADELPHIA—April 20, 2020—The Curtis Institute of Music announces a new week of video content, adding to its extensive YouTube video library. “Curtis Is Here” features a video of a favorite or rarely seen Curtis performance, posted each weekday at noon EDT. This week’s theme, “Ever Thine, Ever Mine, Ever Ours: Beethoven at 250,” contributes to the global celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday. In addition, a broadcast of a full-length recital takes place on Friday, April 24 at 8 p.m. EDT. This week’s broadcast was recorded in December 2019 and includes works by Brahms, Glière, Mendelssohn, and Prokofiev as performed by strings, horn, and piano students.
