Vice President, G. Schirmer, Inc.
Olga Mychajluk, a 2003 graduate of the American Symphony Orchestra League’s Orchestra Management Fellowship Program, has joined the G. Schirmer promotion team as Promotion Consultant. Mychajluk previously worked in the Artistic Administration at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra from 1997 to 2002 and as a music producer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. At Schirmer, her responsibilities will include composer management and liaising with orchestras and presenting organizations throughout the US and Canada. Mychajluk is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where she studied vocal performance.

Peggy Monastra, a ten-year Schirmer veteran, has been named Director of Promotion, with responsibilities for long-range planning. She will continue her work promoting leading composers of the international Music Sales Classical Group, such as Kaija Saariaho, John Tavener, Hans Werner Henze, and Poul Ruders, alongside Schirmer composers including Tan Dun, Peter Lieberson, and Augusta Read Thomas. Monastra, a graduate of Loyola University and the Eastman School of Music, worked at the Library of Congress before joining Schirmer.

Norman Ryan has been named Creative Director. He will retain composer management responsibilities for John Corigliano, Richard Danielpour, Mark Adamo, Simon Bainbridge, the Red Poppy Catalogue, and others. Additionally, he will promote the Music Sales Group catalogues to film, television, and advertisers, and will work closely with Music Sales West in California and Music Sales Film and TV in London. Prior to joining Schirmer, the Brown University graduate worked at Lincoln Center’s Programming Department.

The three will work with the rest of the Schirmer promotion team: Ed Matthew, Internet Manager; Deborah Horne, Newsletter Editor; Chris McGlumphy, Promotion Associate; Laurel Fay, Russian Music Consultant; and Schirmer Vice President Susan Feder.
