MISO announces its 2026-2027 MISO Steinway Artist Season!

Maestro Eduardo Marturet Leads a Landmark Season Celebrating the Artistry, Legacy, and Excellence of Steinway Artist?.


Miami, FL – The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), the Official Symphony Orchestra of the City of Miami, proudly announces its highly anticipated 2026–2027 Steinway Artist Season, a four-concert series at the Adrienne Arsht Center's Knight Concert Hall led by its Music Director & CEO, Maestro Eduardo Marturet.

Under the baton and artistic vision of Maestro Eduardo Marturet, one of today's most dynamic and internationally recognized conductors and a distinguished Steinway Artist himself, the season celebrates the enduring relationship between celebrated pianists and the legendary Steinway piano. Throughout the season, audiences will experience extraordinary performances by acclaimed Steinway Artist alongside masterworks from the orchestral repertoire, reaffirming MISO's commitment to artistic excellence and cultural leadership in Miami.?
The 2026–2027 season represents another significant milestone in the ongoing evolution of The Miami Symphony Orchestra under Eduardo Marturet's leadership. Following the celebration of his twentieth anniversary with the orchestra, Marturet continues to shape MISO's artistic identity while expanding its impact both locally and internationally.?


GRAND SEASON OPENING – THE STEINWAY ARTIST SERIES I

The season opens with a program of brilliance, passion, and symphonic power. Under the baton of Eduardo Marturet, internationally acclaimed pianist Tian Jiang makes a featured appearance performing Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, one of the most beloved concertos in the classical repertoire. The evening also includes Dmitri Shostakovich's Festive Overture and Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, launching the Steinway Artist Season with energy and grandeur.?

THE STEINWAY ARTIST SERIES II?


Sunday, February 21, 2027 – 6:00pm

The Miami Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Eduardo Marturet return to the Knight Concert Hall for the second installment of the MISO Steinway Artist Season. This exceptional evening features the South Florida Premiere of LeFrak’s Lady Liberty Suite, a work filled with symbolism and majesty. The stage will ignite with double energy as renowned pianists Kevin Kenner and Vyacheslav Gryaznov join forces for Poulenc’s witty and inventive Concerto for Two Pianos. To conclude the program, the orchestra will perform Stravinsky’s Petrushka, a masterpiece of orchestral color and storytelling. ?

The Steinway Artist Series III opens with the South Florida Premiere of Márquez’s Danzón No. 9, a work that brings the soul of contemporary Latin American music to the Knight Concert Hall. In a spectacular display of coordination and talent, three exceptional pianists—Kevin Kenner, Viet Trung Nguyen, and Shuguan Gong—take the stage together for Mozart’s delightful Concerto No. 7 for Three Pianos. The program reaches its emotional peak with Brahms’ Symphony No. 3, a masterpiece of profound lyricism and orchestral depth. Experience a night where world-class soloists and symphonic grandeur meet.?

?The Miami Symphony Orchestra concludes its historic season with an unprecedented celebration of keyboard mastery and creative innovation. Led by Maestro Eduardo Marturet, the Knight Concert Hall will witness a monumental gathering of talent and virtuosity. The evening begins with the intimate dialogue of Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin and Piano, featuring Daniel Andai and Ciro Fodere, followed by the fiery virtuosity of Khachaturian’s Piano Concerto. The grand climax features a “piano powerhouse” of six world-class soloists—Elisha Abas, Kevin Kenner, Kamil Pacholec, Harmony Zhu, and Victoria Wong, joining Ciro Fodere—for the world premiere of MiamiVice for Six Pianos and the massive Hexameron by Liszt. Don’t miss this breathtaking display of symphonic force and pianistic brilliance to close the 2026-2027 season.
