OPAS Announces Leadership Transition for North America
OPAS announced a planned leadership transition for its North American operations. After decades of supporting OPAS’s growth and adoption in North America, Tom Gaitens will retire effective July 1, 2026, following a structured transition period.
As part of this transition, Eva Tartaglia has been appointed President, OPAS US. Building on years of partnership with Tom, Eva will work closely with him to ensure continuity for OPAS clients and partners across North America.
Eva brings more than a decade of experience in orchestra operations and artistic planning, having worked with organizations including the Portland Symphony Orchestra, Virginia Symphony Orchestra, and Aspen Music Festival & School. Over nearly a decade, she worked closely with Tom to develop a deep, practical mastery of OPAS, championing its capabilities while navigating the day-to-day realities of orchestra operations. Eva also brings experience in technology and product leadership; she is an MBA candidate at Carnegie Mellon University with a focus on technology strategy and product management.
“I have been blessed with a fantastic career representing OPAS and working with North American clients, and choosing the right successor was deeply important to me,” said Tom Gaitens. “I worked closely with Eva during her time in orchestra operations at Virginia and Portland and saw firsthand her ability to navigate complex environments while using OPAS thoughtfully and rigorously. Eva understands the realities of orchestra operations and the responsibility that comes with stewarding this platform. I’m confident she will lead OPAS in North America with care, clarity, and vision.”
“I’m honored to step into this role and build on the strong foundation already in place,” said Eva Tartaglia. “OPAS plays a vital role in supporting orchestral organizations, and I look forward to bringing a customer-centered, product-focused mindset to OPAS’s work in North America.”
OPAS will continue to operate with the same support structures and client relationships throughout the transition period.
