Larsen Strings proudly introduces Il Cannone Silver for violin – the latest innovation in its premium Il Cannone range, developed in close collaboration with world-class soloists to meet the highest artistic demands.

Building upon the success of the Il Cannone family of strings, the Il Cannone Silver edition offers a distinct tonal identity: silvery brilliance, enhanced overtone content and commanding projection – all wrapped in a responsive and flexible feel under the fingers. At the heart of Il Cannone Silver is a five-string set featuring two E-string options:

• Silver E – powerful, bold and silvery
• Caprice E – sparkling, focused and brilliant

This dual-option approach allows violinists to tailor their sound to their individual instrument, offering greater versatility across repertoire and playing styles.

International soloist and Larsen Artist Josef Špacek has performed extensively with the new set in concert and describes:

Crafted in Denmark and developed with leading artists across the world, Il Cannone Silver has already received praise for its exceptional clarity, fluid transitions and reliability under pressure. The strings are constructed using a high-grade synthetic multi-filament core with flat wire winding – 99.85% pure silver for the D and G strings and aluminium for the A – ensuring purity of sound, durability and consistent performance. Both E strings feature a removeable ball end and are made using a unique carbon steel.

Josef Špacek further remarks: "The Il Cannone Silver delivers what the name suggests: A silvery, clear tone. Brilliant, strong and fits well on my Guarneri violin.
