Electronic Music of Judith Shatin Featured at 60x60 Dance - Vox Novus Festival, October 23 in New York City

Judith Shatin's Glimmerings for electronic playback, with choreography by Linda Pehrson, will be presented as part of 60x60 Dance - Vox Novus Festival on Friday October 23 -12:30pm & 8:00 PM at Winter Garden at Brookfield Place, 230 Vesey Street in NYC.
Judith writes about the music, "Glimmerings bounces through time with harmonies that shimmer in rhythmic whirls, sweeping into higher spaces before gliding to a stop. It was created using RTcmix." More about the piece at http://judithshatin.com/glimmerings/.

Vox Novus has for 15 years produced, presented and promoted new music. Founded by composer Robert Voisey, they use a “maximalist” approach introducing new work to audiences everywhere. Orchestras that have performed her music include the Denver, Houston, Virginia, Illinois, Knoxville, Minnesota, National and Richmond Symphonies. Her chamber and choral music is internationally performed and has been featured at festivals throughout North America and Europe. She has been commissioned by organizations and ensembles including the Barlow Foundation, Fromm Foundation, Kronos Quartet, Library of Congress, National Symphony, the Dutch Hexagon Ensemble, the Peninsula Women’s Chorus and the San Francisco Girls’ Chorus.
Innova Records has issued Time to Burn, with a combination of Shatin’s chamber and electroacoustic music performed by the Cassatt Quartet, violist James Dunham, pianist Margaret Kampmeier and others. Her music can also be heard on the Ravello, Etcetera, Capstone, Centaur, Neuma, New World and Sonora labels. She is currently William R.
