|
Fresh from playing their 1,000th show, retro musical collective Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) has announced the 2025 US SUMMER leg of their "MAGIC & MOONLIGHT” World Tour. The group will travel the length and breadth of North America headlining shows from July 1st onward. "If we've learned anything from ten years of touring the world, it's that great music has the ability to transcend time and space in a way that is best described as 'magic," says Postmodern Jukebox creator and show director, Scott Bradlee. "In fact, all of us likely have a song or two that instantly transports us to another place. Our 'Moonlight & Magic' World Tour is meant to celebrate this phenomenon through breathtaking live performances that will be remembered long after the curtain falls." |

John Clayton with ETHEL |
|
Experience the captivating synergy of John Clayton, a master of the bass, and the innovative ETHEL Quartet. Their collaboration weaves together the rich, resonant tones of Clayton's bass with the quartet's dynamic string arrangements, creating a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly new.
“Borrowing from rock’s defiant rawness, [ETHEL] spikes string-quartet suavity with grit reminiscent of photographic grain: scraping, vigorous bow attacks, the microtonal friction of bluesy inflections, the slight metallic buzz of amplification," said The Boston Globe.
From soulful melodies to intricate improvisations, their performances are a journey through the heart of music, showcasing the power and beauty of string instruments. Join us for an evening of unparalleled artistry and discover the magic that happens when jazz and classical worlds collide. |

Il viaggio a Reims
Company Premiere
Music by Gioachino Rossini
Libretto by Luigi Balocchi
Performed in Italian with English supertitles
Exactly 200 years ago, Rossini dared to celebrate the coronation of Charles X with this ebullient satire of class, manners, and the timeless misery of long-distance travel. In his long-awaited American debut, Olivier Award-winning director Damiano Michieletto transforms this showpiece into a theatrical work of art, setting the story in a present-day gallery on the cusp of opening a major exhibition. The production’s rich narrative and visual palette shade Rossini’s joyful musical canvas, blurring the line between life and art. Jack Mulroney Music Director Corrado Rovaris leads a sparkling ensemble cast featuring the luminous soprano Brenda Rae.
All tickets are Pick Your Price, starting at $11. Any amount above $11 helps support other operagoers and the work we present on stage. In addition, $10 rush tickets will be available before the performance. |
