The uniqueness of this festival consists of the opportunity that it provides to the participants to share the stage with some of the most prestigious international artists and to perform with them in orchestral, recital and chamber music programmes in front of both music-lovers and expert audiences.

Every July, more than 60 talented young musicians from all over the world meet several internationally acclaimed professors in Santander to share very special musical experiences in a friendly, enjoyable, and productive atmosphere. At the Encuentro de Santander, the educational environment and artistic activities combine gracefully, and the stage becomes a natural extension of the classroom.
