WHAT DISTINGUISHES THIS FESTIVAL
The Stresa Festival is an internationally renowned classical music festival. Its gorgeous venues along the shores of Lake Maggiore are part of its special appeal, for example Hermitage Santa Caterina del Sasso. The festival is organised in three sections: mid-summer jazz concerts, baroque music and classical music.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
Highlights include Katia and Marielle Labeque in the adaptation of The Rite of Spring for two pianos and Gianandrea Noseda conducting the Ars Cantica Choir in Stravinsky's Le Rossignol. Noseda will also lead a program with the London Symphony, while Yannick Nezet-Seguin conducts the Rotterdam Phil-harmonic Orchestra in a program featuring Renaud Capugon (violin) and Gautier Capugon (cello).
