FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
SummerFest 2014 will showcase such artists as trumpeter Alison Balsom in a program with organ, piano, and trumpet and pianist Yefim Bronfman performing Beethoven’s Trio No. 7, Archduke, with violinist Martin Beaver and cellist Lynn Harrell. The “Composer Series” will explore the works and influence of Austrian composer Franz Joseph Haydn, and Leonard Slatkin, will lead the SummerFest Finale featuring Beethoven’s Creatures of Prometheus Overture and Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 2. Debut artists include the FLUX Quartet, cellist Nicholas Canellakis; violist Ori Kam; and pianist Anna Polonsky. SummerFest will also introduce the Pegasus Trio and the Omer Quartet.
