Solti International Conducting Competition 2017
ABOUT THIS COMPETITION
Filharmonia Hungary is happy to announce the Solti International Conducting Competition SICC, which will be taking place in October and December 2017 in Hungary. The competition will receive wide media coverage and provide an excellent opportunity for young conductors to prove their talent.

ELIGIBILITY
Only applicants born after 1 January 1979 will be accepted. Application forms completed by the applicants and other requested documents can be submitted by email to the following address: solticompetition@filharmonia.hu
Besides the completed application form, the following documents are required:
- a copy of the receipt of the bank transfer of the application fee
- a copy of the DECLARATION about the need for an invoice, signed by the Applicant
- a copy of the applicant’s identity card (only EU citizens) or passport (EU and non-EU citizens)
- the applicant’s curriculum vitae focusing on the applicant’s professional and artistic development
- a recent photograph (of at least 2-3 MB file size) of the applicant
- HD quality self-introduction video, in which applicants can give vent to their creativity and an at least 15-minute-long HD quality video of an orchestral rehearsal or a concert conducted by the applicant, in which the applicant’s movements can be clearly seena
Application fee:
Early bird application fee by 28 February 2017: 190 EUR
Application fee from 1 March to 1 May 2017: 350 EUR

Early bird applicants who will not be selected to participate in the competition will be reimbursed 100 EUR.
Applicants submitting their application on/after 1 March, who will not be selected to participate in the competition will be reimbursed 200 EUR.

3. Ch. Gounod: Faust – Ballad and Jewel song – recitativo and one verse

5. R. Leoncavallo: Pagliacci – Prologue – from the return of introduction l
Concertos:
1. F. Liszt: Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major; 1st and 3rd movements (3/4)
2. F. Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor; 2nd and 3rd movements
3. A. Dvorak: Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104; 1st and 2nd movements
4. B. Bartók: Violin Concerto No. 2; 1st and 2nd movements
