Internationally renowned choral conductor Harold Rosenbaum is currently organizing a trip to Vienna, Austria for July 3-10, 2016, which will include a performance of Mozart’s Requiem at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, under the baton of Gerald Wirth, conductor of the Vienna Boys’ Choir, with a professional orchestra and soloists again.

Harold Rosenbaum will train tour members before departing on this tour. He will also conduct participants in another Vienna church, and the group will tour Vienna and other nearby cultural and musical landmarks. Singers as well as non-singers are welcome.

Two weeks before that, from June 22-28, Rosenbaum will be bringing singers and non-singers to Ireland to participate in the inaugural Dublin Choral Festival, produced by Music Celebrations International. The festival will feature mixed-voice choirs and individual singers joining together to sing en masse. Three days of rehearsals will lead participants to a grand finale performance in the oldest medieval cathedral in Ireland, Christ Church Cathedral Dublin.

Harold Rosenbaum, recipient of the 2014 Ditson Conductor’s Award from Columbia University, is the founder and conductor of the New York Virtuoso Singers and the Canticum Novum Singers. He is also founder of Virtuoso Choral Recordings, and a Soundbrush Records artist. He is the 2010 winner of ASCAP’s Victor Herbert Founders Award and the winner of the 2008 American Composer Alliance’s Laurel Leaf Award, given in recognition of “distinguished achievement in fostering and encouraging American music.” A strong proponent of and advocate for contemporary composers and American composers in particular, Rosenbaum has commissioned more than 60 works, and has conducted more than 500 World Premieres.
